This work warns of the growing authoritarianism of our government and current leaders who feed the age of anxiety and insecurity—demagogues who present on social media and create chaos to fuel culture wars. The art features a repetition of a Caesar-like imperial bust, divided visually and metaphorically. The intent is to remind viewers to beware of current unrest and political undermining; to stand up on issues and vote—protecting our rights and civil liberties. Defending and fighting for equal rights for all people is the very safeguard of our democracy.
